Erin Schlabach, director

Erin Schlabach is a director, performer and physical theatre devisor.  She received her B.A. from Ball State University in Theatre Performance with a minor in Studio Art and her M.F.A. in Lecoq Based Actor Created Theatre from Naropa University at the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA) as a Lucien Wulsin scholar.  She has been creating original work in Los Angeles since 2001.  As the Co-Artistic Director of Leonix Movement Theatre, she conceived and directed “Crossing the Bridge.”  Erin teaches workshops in Clowning and Movement and creates new work with her artistic partner in crime, Meredyth Hunt.

With Invertigo Dance Theatre, Erin has co-directed “After It Happened”, all four incarnations of “Descent of the Docent” (performing as the Docent at the Electric Lodge), and “Wrecktangle” at the Ford Amphitheatre (sharing the 2011 Lester Horton Award in Costuming).
