“Invertigo Dance Theatre are masters of storytelling through dance. . . By turns comic, lyrical, and tragic, the duo glided smoothly from lightness to Choi’s painfully dark solo, and then to a wiser, warmer place.” - Mark Hein, Theatre Ghost

“Through the wonderful performances of Jonathan Bryant and Hyosun Choi, Karlin artfully takes on bigotry, loss and love.” - Jeff Slayton, Bachtrack

“Let choreographer Laura Karlin decorate your home . . . a high point of the fun opening night of the Los Angeles Dance Festival." - Debra Levine, ArtsMeme

“The movement and choreography were phenomenal, and there was much humor involved.” - Karen Salkin, itsnotaboutme.tv

About the Event:

Invertigo is thrilled to be touring up to Washington State to perform in the Seattle International Dance Festival!

The Seattle International Dance Festival is a 16-day explosion of dance and the arts including indoor and outdoor events centered in and around Seattle’s South Lake Union area.

On June 18th, as part of the Inter | National series in the SIDF, Invertigo will share a double-bill with Modern Line Dance Theater (Russia) in the beautiful Broadway Performance Hall.  Enter a world of magical realism with Invertigo Dance Theatre’s entrancing style of storytelling.  Los Angeles-based choreographer Laura Karlin blends beautiful, athletic and virtuosic dancing with vivid elements of theatre.  In Interior Design, a man and a woman move into a new space together, and the process is intimate, hilarious, strange and beautiful.
