House Lights Up is a site-specific piece, set in the seats of a theatre.  The audience stands in the orchestra pit or on the stage.

Originally created to explore the velvety red sea of seats of The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, turning this unusual performance space into a stage, an ocean, a sculpture garden, a wilderness and more. Audience etiquette is flipped inside-out as the unexpected becomes the norm; dancers will navigate the line between spectator and spectacle.
