Saturday, August 27 – A Community Set Design Workshop
12:00 - 4:00pm | $40 / $30 CAFAM Members
In connection with the CAFAM Theatre of Paint exhibition on the legendary Los Angeles artist Gronk, Invertigo will host a set design master intensive at the Los Angeles Craft and Folk Art Museum. Participants will design two set pieces for After It Happened with the set designer John Burton. The elements will be created from re-purposed materials around the theme of “what would you grab if you could carry one box out of your home?” All workshop participants will be credited in the program.

Sunday, August 28 – Storytelling Through Movement workshop
1:30 - 3:00pm | Free
Invertigo company members and teaching artists will lead an all ages workshop about using movement to tell a story. The event will culminate as a unique one-time dance installation within the Gronk exhibit. Space is limited, RSVP required: [email protected]
Thursday, September 1 – Puppet-Making workshop
7:00 - 9:00pm | Free
Workshop participants will build their own puppet out of reclaimed, repurposed materials, and then take part in a movement workshop in which puppeteers and puppets will fly.
