I'm not going to use the phrase "in these unprecedented times." (How many emails have started that way???) We're all going through it, in one way or another. We all still want to bake each other cookies, give hugs, make soup... show up. That's the heart of it, isn't it? We want to show up for one another.
So Invertigo is showing up for you and yours. We've created a customized care package you can send to a family member, a friend, an enemy you're trying to lull into a false sense of security, a co-worker... and it won't need disinfectant wipes when it arrives in their inbox. It's a great gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day, 4th of July, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays.
What's in the care package?
- An original dance solo created for you by an Invertigo dancer, based on prompts you supply. This is a one-of-a-kind gift, made for you and yours, by us.
- A customized gallery of vibrant dance photography
- A gallery of exclusive video excerpts of Invertigo performances and dance films - they’re joyful, funny, tender, hopeful...
- A beautiful card with your personalized message on it
We'll send it to your chosen person, and we'll send a copy to you as well.
We're asking for a suggested donation of $30 per care package that goes directly towards paying the dancers. A suggested donation of $50 will go towards the dancers and will also support Invertigo's community and artistic programs to keep Invertigo floating through these... “unprecedented” times... ugh, there, I said it.

FAQ’s
What is the turnaround time for care packages?
We will do our best to get care packages put together and sent out as quickly as possible. Packages will arrive in about one week from your order, which gives our artists time to create your customised solo and our staff time to edit video and put together your package.
How long is the customized solo?
Solos will vary in length but will average 3 minutes.
Can I request a specific dancer or song for my customized solo?
We will curate the artistic experience for you based on your written prompts, so Artistic Director Laura Karlin will select the dancer and work with them on the choreography and music selection.
Is this solo mine and mine alone for all eternity?
This digital dance care package is considered a documentary record of the dancer's Work, and its creation, which record may include but not be limited to, still photography, audio and/or video recordings (the “Documentary Record”) can be used at Invertigo's discretion and may be released to the public. The Commissioner shall have no right of approval with respect to the components of the Documentary Record. Invertigo will allow a 30-day grace period from the date the care package is delivered for the recipients to have first access to view the Work before Invertigo publicly releases the Documentary Record.
In layman's terms: Invertigo owns the material we create for you. We will keep it exclusive to you and your recipient for 30 days or more, so it's a special gift you can share. After that, we have the right to release it or use it as we like. We won't post names or identifying details without asking you.
